I don't really have a reason to put this on the blog except to document Addison at this time in her life and get pictures off of my camera. 

Her hair is getting so much longer, but I don't want to cut it just yet.  She sat still enough for me to do these, because she was watching her favorite show - Martha.

Perfect Pair

It always seems like every time you get family pictures done you forget to get a picture of just you and your husband.  The pair that started it all.  The reason for the blog, right?  While we were getting the girls pictures done, Jordan asked the photographer to take some of us and I'm so glad he did.

Landry's 1st Tooth

Landry got her first tooth yesterday (5/24).  The girls were getting their baths last night, and I did my normal check for teeth (having been doing this for the past month).  And there it was.  Landry's first tooth.  It's on the bottom, her right side of the mouth.  I'm glad that there was a tooth, because I was wondering why she was acting differently.  Now we know.  Where has my baby gone?

Chi Omega Gathering

This past Saturday a few of us Alpha Alpha Chi Omega gals gathered at Jennifer's house to just catch up.  What a great time.  It makes me smile when I think about how our conversation topics change as year pass.  It used to be about boys and now it's about babies.  I look forward to the next gathering and sharing more stories with old friends and roommates.

Landry's Pro Pics

When we had Addison's 2 year pictures done, we went ahead and had a few taken of Landry.  We hadn't gotten any professional pictures done since she's been born, so it was time.  They turned out amazing!  Her blue eyes just pop.

First of Many

I have a feeling this will be the first of many of sisters taking a bath together.  Addison wanted Landry to get in the tub with her, so in Landry went.  Both girls loved it.  Landry was so excited to splash in the water and be able to grab toys.  My mom held on to Landry while I washed her down.  This is so much easier than having to get Landry's bath tub together.  It will cut down on our bathing time from 45 minutes to 20.

Jordan/Dadda comes home today!!!!!

Our house is so excited for Jordan to get home today.  We are all anxious for his arrival.  For the past 2 1/2 weeks Jordan has been in New Jersey training for his new job.  I have had so much help from Gingy, MeeMaw, Deb, etc. helping out with the girls, dinners, chores, etc.  I am so grateful for family and friends.  I don't see how single moms do it.  

 Addison is so excited to see her Dadda.  We've been talking to him on the phone and via Skype but it's just not the same.  It's kind of funny, because sometimes Jordan would call and want to talk to her and she would say no, no and push the phone away like she was mad at him.  Alyson told me that Jordan used to have the same attitude with them if they left him at the grandparents house.  

Yogurtville

While my mom is in town for the week, I decided that us girls needed to go see what Yogurtville was all about.  I've been wanting to go for a while now, but just haven't gone.  So of us girls loaded up to get a taste test.  Yummy!!!  It was great!  Addison absolutely loved it.  I think we've found a new place to take her for being good or just because mom has a sweet tooth.

Muffins for Moms

Addison's MDO had Muffins for Moms to celebrate mothers and to show the moms what their children do during the day.  I tried to get a picture of the two of us before we left, but as you can tell I wasn't very successful.  This is when you wish Jordan would have been home.  Haven't figured out how people get so good at taking pictures of themselves, and I don't ever plan on perfecting that skill.

Landry had her first taste of baby food at 4 months, 4 weeks old.  We didn't go with the traditional rice cereal first.

Your daddy and I cannot believe that you are already 2 years old.  Time has flown by.  You always keep us guessing on what you're up to next.  You constantly make us laugh at your expressions or just how you look at life.  We love you so much!  Just so we can remember a few things about you at 2, here you go:

Addison Birthday Continued

Since we were in New Boston for Addison's 2nd Birthday, we celebrated her birthday with Jordan's family the following weekend.  She hated everyone singing Happy Birthday to her the 1st time around but I thought she might do better this time.  Boy was I wrong.

The Dress

Being the indecisive person I am sometimes, the week before the pictures I started second guessing Addison's dress for her 2nd birthday pictures.  I had put the dress on her the weekend before her pictures and wasn't satisfied.

With that, I was off to the races.  I researched online and went to many stores.  I went to Gap the day before the pictures and bought tons of clothes hoping that I would find an outfit for both girls.  I was stressing tremendously at this point.

I laid out all the clothes Friday night and said a little prayer that Addison would be a good girl and let me try on all the outfits I had picked out to find the winner.  To my surprise she was a trooper.  We had Martha on the TV and she just sat there and let me pull and tug on clothes for a good 20 minutes.

And the verdict is.....I stayed with my original idea of the red and turquoise dress.  Once I put a big red bow in her hair it made the outfit.  So after all that stress, I've learned my lesson - stay with my gut.
