Bass Pro aka Pontoon Store

A little stop at Bass Pro to pick up some pecans.

Once again, how did our little girl get so tall?

Celebrating Friends

One of Addison's friends from ballet had her 4th birthday party at Sugar and Spice in Downtown McKinney.  It was so cute.  The girls had a great time and really showed off.  Any time they can play dress up they are all in.

Summer Fun

Birthday party fun

Addison had Kingdom Kids Camp at church this week and enjoyed every minute of it.  It was so cute.  They called each other Bible Buddies.  It's so exciting to see how the Holy Spirit is working on her heart and she is learning so much about the Bible and how much Jesus loves her.

So while Addison was at church that left time for Landry and I to hang out and enjoy each others company.  This girl is a hoot and loves getting attention by herself.

MeeMaw's Weekend = House Shopping

My parents are building their dream home so that means there are many trips to Dallas for my mom to decorate their home.  Most shopping days have been without the girls, which I have to say is a lot easier with adults only.  However last weekend Jordan went on a "hunting trip" so my mom came in town and us girls were on a mission to decorate their home.  The girls were actually really good for being so bored with shopping for furniture.  I can only imagine at their ages how boring it must have been, but with a toy promised at the end of the weekend that was patience to be had.  Thank God.  Don't get me wrong, there were definitely moments where they were testing my patience.

I am so excited to help my parents on this journey to build their dream home.  To know that God has blessed them so that our entire family can enjoy a nice house, but most importantly a warm, loving home that will be filled with wonderfully people that I call FAMILY!!!

A little something Addison found in a sample closet.  I could see one of these on her in the near future.

How else to you end a day of shopping for furniture?  Manis and pedis of course.  Thank you Granddaddy for the relief.
Addison found this Hello Kitty for the new house.  MeeMaw said it would keep the mice away.  Haha.

Don't they look worn out?

Fireworks

This man still brings fireworks to our marriage, and I am so blessed to be married to him for nine years as of July 2nd.  He is my rock and my best friend.  Thank you for loving me unconditionally.

To celebrate the 4th of July we spent time at Gingy and Coach's with family and enjoyed fellowship and good food.

My little fish

After a long day of swimming, the girls did a few sparklers and off to bed they went.  They were worn out and aren't really fans of big fireworks.

VBS & Swimming

So far our summer has consisted of a lot of swimming.  I knew that since I would be with the girls all summer my goal was to take them often so that they would enjoy the water and swim their little hearts out.  Through the month of June both girls have blossomed at swimming.  They love the water and they don't use their floats at all.  Usually Jordan and I are in the pool with them but we feel confident that if they fell in they could easily make it to the side or tread water.  That makes this momma feel much more comfortable.  I believe the key to them swimming much better are goggles.  They tuck their head under and off they go.  Both of them are jumping from the side of the pool and back the edge with no help.

During June, our church had their VBS and since I was volunteering the girls were able to attend.  We all had a great time.  Another event that I was able to being home all summer was volunteering for VBS.  I was selected for one of the two year old classes.  We had 10 little two year olds.  Luckily I had some help with another lady and two youth workers.  Both of us ladies strongly believe that we have some of the best youth at our church.  They were awesome.

During the week of VBS our church put on a carnival for the entire town.  Let's just say that our girls are not carnival lovers.  Their since of adventure is kind of tame, so there were only a few "rides" that they attempted.

George Strait: Cowboy Rides Away Tour

Months ago when George Strait announced he was ending his touring career here in Arlington, Texas at AT&T Stadium Jordan and I knew we wanted to go.  When the phone lines opened to sale tickets Jordan was on it.  So four tickets and a hotel room later we marked our calendar to go see "King George."  The concert was amazing.  We had tickets in the top section of the stadium (horrible) but a long story and not very interesting to the readers we came up with four fold out chairs in the top of Section 200.  We paid $140/ticket and we ended up sitting in a section where people paid $500-1000.  Not bad upgrade for free.

For memories sake, the lineup for the concert included:  Alan Jackson, Vince Gill, Jason Aldean, Eric Church, Sheryl Crow, Martina McBride, Miranda Lambert, Faith Hill, Kenny Chesney

Ballet Recital

Our sweet Addison had her ballet recital and we couldn't be more proud.  She has come such a long way in in six months.  At the Christmas performance she just stood there and at her final recital she shined.  She stood up there with confidence and did great.
