Christmas All Around

Our little girl is growing up.  Addison had her annual Christmas program for MDO and did awesome.  She smiled and sang just right.  She was the most beautiful angel.  We are so proud of her.  What a difference a year makes.  To hear your child sing about the birth of Jesus and to know that Christmas is all about the birth of Jesus is what life is all about.

Little sister could not wait to see Baby Jesus
 Shepherd, angels, and wise men
We were so blessed to have grandparents and great grandparents there to watch.

Burrr….It's Cold Outside

We had our first ice storm, and it wasn't even after the first of the year.  Too bad it was all ice and no snow.  Roads were horrible, schools closed for days, and a lot of people went without electricity for days.

The worst part we endured was cabin fever, which we are very grateful for.

What a joy you are.  You definitely complete our family of four.  You and Addison are best friends and you start to miss each other if you're apart too long.  However, the two of you can fight with the best of them.  You love to be around people but are very good at sitting and playing by yourself.  You get into your own little world and the focus is on whatever you are trying to accomplish/watch.  You keep our house light-hearted and full of laughter.  We love you very much and can't wait to see what year three has in store for you.  May God continue to guide and protect you and your decisions.

Landry's 3rd BirthDAY

What a third birthday Landry had on Monday.  She has been so excited about her birthday for weeks.  We haven't had her party yet (thank to the winter storm), but we sure did have fun on Monday.

Landry woke up to Jonah, the elf decorating the Christmas tree in streamers and leaving her a note from Santa Claus.

 Balloons everywhere outside her door

May be as close as we get to a real "forsie"

Trip to Party City to get party supplies

Her favorite color right now - orange

We went to Firewheel to ride the train around the center of the shopping center but it was not there, so we decided to eat cookies by the fountain and play on the playground.

To these two, there's nothing better.  Eating McDonalds at the park

Then I decided to brave the movies with them.  We have never taken them before.  We saw Frozen, super cute movie.  We had potty break 3 times and missed the last 5 minutes of the movie because of potty time and they were ready to go.

After the movie, we ran to Kroger to pickup cupcakes for Landry to take to MDO on Tuesday.  Once we pulled into the driveway, Addison asked to go get her toes painted.  So we ended our day with a pedicure.

The new nail salon at just opened the day before.  It was great.  They had slush drinks for the girls and a margarita for me.

We had a great day.  I will always remember this day.  Landry is growing up so fast, and I really do not have a baby anymore.  She is tons of fun and laughs all the time.  Post of her being 3 is soon to come.  We love you Landry Belle.

Thanksgiving 2013

We began the day at The Griffins but I didn't get any pictures.  Hopefully Aunt Katie will send us a few snapshots.  We had a great time.  The entire immediate family was there, so we stuffed our bellies at lunch and then set out for New Boston.

Fortunately, we didn't have to endure another Thanksgiving lunch until the next day.  After lunch, MeeMee asked the girls to help her decorate her tree.  The girls were definitely game for that.

Later that day the girls helped PawPaw feed the heifers.  They love to help take care of the animals.  PawPaw is known to have many cats and dogs.  I think animals know he's going to love them no matter what.

It's so cute to watch the girls call the cows.  They know exactly what to do.  Addison is getting really good at it.  The heifers ate the cubes right out of their hands.  PawPaw is known to have gentle cows.

One day she thinks her Grandaddy will get her a real "forsie."

It is times like these that I cannot thank the good Lord enough for blessing me and our girls with such loving family.  I will always cherish these moments and I know our girls will too.  May we always be mindful and thankful for family.

Loosing 1st Tooth

I really didn't expect to be writing about Addison loosing her tooth so soon, but a little accident accelerated that life event.  I had just gotten her out of the bathtub and wrapped her up in a tile.  She stood on the bathmat waiting patiently and then for some reason all of the sudden feel face forward.  The only thing I can conclude is that she stepped forward onto the towel and went face forward.  I didn't know it was as bad as it was until I went to pick her up and there was blood everywhere and her tooth was at a 45 degree angle.  I quickly yelled for Jordan.  I think we got her dressed and into the car within 5 minutes.  Jordan called his good friend, Doctor Coates and off the two of them went to his office.

I gathered Landry out of the bathtub and got her dressed, and we soon followed after them in my car.  Once we got there Dr. Coates calmed us down and told us to call the Pediatric Dentist in the morning. Well this momma wanted to make sure we got an appointment, so I called and left a message that night.    The night was long and the morning was even longer.

As soon as we got to the dentist office and the dentist took a quick look, she told me it would have to be pulled because Addison couldn't eat.  I was more nervous than Addison, but she was a trooper.  She came out with a big smile and drool (great meds) and ready to go.  She was so proud.  She would be the first in her class to loose a tooth.  Now she shows us how she can fit a french fry in there.  Now we just wait and see how long it will take to get her adult tooth in there.  The baby tooth was not ready to come out at all.

Thanksgiving Feast

I got to help out with Addison's Thanksgiving luncheon this year.  Unfortunately Landry was home sick with strep.  Addison is growing up so fast.
