Picking Up Sticks
My parents bought some property and have been cleaning it up to one day build a house on. While we were home for Thanksgiving we went out to see the progress. What a difference a few pieces of equipment can do to some land. It looks beautiful. They have dug a pond and are planning on filling it with fish so the grandkids can fish off a deck. Too cute!
Of course you can't go to the country without having to pick up sticks, get into dirt, and exploring God's land. It's so peaceful and gets you away from all the hustle and bustle of city life.
Wasn't very wise on my part to put her in a white outfit

Thanksgiving 2011
What a great time we had for Thanksgiving. Since I was extremely pregnant at this same time last year, we didn't get to go to New Boston to spend time with my family for the holidays. So we loaded up the car and went to enjoy some time relaxing, country air, and slow paced lifestyle.

Ryan's Wedding Weekend
My cousin, Ryan got married November 3rd to Maegan. So the family came to Dallas to marry Ryan off and spend some time with the girls.
Lovin this girl's pony tail - bam bam
Addison has made big strides with her Grandaddy this past year. She used to cry when she saw him but now we are good ole' buddies. She'll curl up next to him on the couch and gets so excited to hear his voice (phone or face-time).
MeeMaw sharing some pie with Landry
Food all over her face but too cute not to post

Climber
We have a climber on our hands. This little girl loves to crawl onto Addison's chair and then crawl onto Addison's bed. She has no fear. If she falls, she cries for a few seconds and then realizes no one is coming to rescue her and she'll try it again and again till she gets it.
Hi everybody!

I can't believe our baby girl is going to be one in three weeks. Where has the time gone?
I swear I have a baby picture where I have this exact same look on my face

Supper Time
This sweet girl has decided that she likes to play in her kitchen (which she got last Christmas). She summons everyone to come "eat supper." That means stop watching TV and come and play "eat supper" with me. It's great to see her little imagination just running wild. She comes up with the funniest things to serve and why. She is picking up on absolutely everything we do and say.
Don't you love the gardening gloves as her hot pads?
This is her "you're not doing what I want you to do" face.
Yum
Love those eyes
Buddy has had enough. He thinks the dining room table will protect him.
Exotic Exhibit
Jordan did the coolest thing. He loaded us girls up and took us to an Exotic Exhibit. The exhibit consists of rescued lions, tigers, cheetahs, and many other wild cats. The crazy thing is is that it's located in Wylie of all places. The cats were literally less than 10 yards away. The girls absolutely loved it, as I did myself.
When we first got there we were told to be careful and watch the cats because sometimes they like to "spray" and mark their territory. Therefore watch and make sure they don't turn their back to you because they will "spray" you. Well, guess what? We got "sprayed." What a lovely smell.

Pumpkin Carving
I know this post is a little out of order, but we're just going to go with it. The girls really weren't into the whole pumpkin carving this year, and I don't know if they'll ever be. It's one of those things though that you have to do just in the spirit of Halloween.
Ewwww

Sickness....Again
Tuesday, Nov. 1:
Landry had a temperature, so Jordan took her to the doctor to find out that she has strep. At that time we opted to give her omnicef/cepholosporan just in case Addison got strep later on (Addison is allergic to penicillin) we could use it for her too.
Thursday, Nov. 3:
Landry has a rash on her body (looks like ant bites) and still not feeling good. Decide to take her back to the doctor to make sure she's not allergic to omnicef. Doctor says she's allergic to omnicef and gave her a penicillin shot (not allergic).
Addison running 101.5 temperature. Doctor said she has strep, so she'll take the omnicef that Landry was using earlier in the week.
This should be a fun next few days. Prayers are appreciated. This is the 2nd time for both girls in a month to have strep. I'm ready to get them well.

Bedtime Buddies
Most little girls take a baby doll or something sweet and pretty to bed but no ours. Addison takes her front-end loader, bulldozer, etc. There are two things that she has taken to bed since she was about 6 months old and that's the ole faithful bunny and blanket. I don't what we're going to do if something happens to either one of them.
