Shower Ivy with Love

Yesterday, we held a baby shower for Baby Ivy at Toyota of Lewisville.  Maegan and Ryan are going to be such great parents.  Ivy will not lack enough loving.  We are so excited to meet her and welcome her to this world.

The accounting office and a few girls from the service department chipped in and put everything together.

Isn't Maegan just the cutest pregnant girl?

We love y'all and may God continue to bless your little family.

Landry: 2 1/2 Years Old

Oh this girl.  There is never a dull moment with her.  She can be the sweetest thing on earth one minute and then just push your buttons the next.  Maybe it's a two thing or maybe she's just going to be the one that tries to push the rules.  We love her to pieces and she's so full of spunk.

- Loves to swim and has no fear of jumping from the side
- Went down the "yellow slide" at the pool two times last week
- Says Gingy when she gets in trouble, but Momma when Gingy is not around
- OCD about having everything in it's place
- Starting to talk and replies with no sir when saying to no to anything
- Gets out of bed 3-4 times at night because she doesn't want to stay in bed

- Loves to get her picture taken
- Loves animals, especially horses
- Counts to 10
- Enjoys reading books, legos
- Good eater
- Likes to pester Buddy, the dog
- Loves watching movies: Toys Story, Ice Age, Tinkerbell

We love you baby girl.  You definitely keep us laughing and on our toes.  My God continue to bless you and watch over you.

Aunt Katie

After VBS each day, Aunt Katie would take the girls and entertain them for the afternoon.  Let's just say they were worn out at the end of the day, but they loved every minute of it.  We are so thankful that Aunt Katie loves them and is helping teach them about God's love for us.

A huge thank you to Aunt Katie for taking the girls to VBS.

Sister is ready for VBS.  Super excited.  More pictures to come from VBS last week.

Father's Day Weekend

Father's Day weekend was spent in New Boston.  It was great, because Jordan said he wanted to get away to New Boston to just slow down.  Sometimes the city life hustle and bustle can just wear on you.  The girls are always up for a trip to New Boston.  Luckily, William got to stay with MeeMaw and Granddaddy on Friday night.

Story time with MeeMaw before bed
Tech savy cousins
I don't know one kid that doesn't like a pallet on the floor.  What's so fascinating about it?
Trying to hide from Landry and watch the iPad
Sundance and Butch, the horses.  Landry loved them.  She could have talked to them all day.  I love that the girls get to experience the farm and all the different animals, dirt, etc. that you don't get in the city.  My mom said one night, I know when they're 16 they'll think that the farm is so boring.  I hope that's not the case.  I want them to appreciate animals and why farms are so important to our nation and the amazing creatures that God made for us.

Cubes for the cows
This girl loves the camera

Happy Father's Day to Jordan.  The girls couldn't ask for a better dad as an example of what a dad and husband should be.  You provide so much love to our little family.  We love you so much!!!

Sister Entertainment

Sometimes our girls play so well together and other times I think they could kill each other (no literally, but you know what I mean).  Since our regular MDO program doesn't run through the summer, the girls have found multiple things to do around the house for entertainment.

Operation - I remember playing it when I was little
I don't think they will ever get tired of playing in the tent.  The tent has been anything from a church, restaurant, school, house, etc.  Their imagination runs wild.
Fancy cupcakes - They look like Sprinkle cupcakes don't they?  haha
Pretend "birthday" cake

Downright Good

The picture above is just one of many reasons why I think my momma is just downright good.  She is the most unselfish person I know.  She never judges anyone, always supports her family, strong, determined, and will do anything for anybody.

Any time she comes to Dallas for a doctor's appointment, we usually meet up for a lunch date (sushi is her favorite).  Not every time but a lot of the times she brings me flowers to take back to work.  What a lovely gesture.  She knows that flowers can make me smile for days.  She always knows just the right time when I need a pick me up.  I love that lady and am so proud to call her Mom.

Mani/Pedi

This sweet girl spent some time with her Mommy last weekend getting a manicure/pedicure.  She loved it.  This was only the second time she had gotten to experience this.  On our way there she told me she didn't want to get blue fingernail polish like she did last time.  My mouth about dropped because that was over a year ago.  This little one has a great memory.

She was so cute.  She sat there very patiently and watched the ladies.  She chose green with colored glitter on top.  I love spending time with this little girl.  She's growing up so fast, and every minute we get with just the two of us are memories that I will always cherish.

Addison 4 Year Checkup

Where has the time gone?  Our first born turned 4 on April 23rd.  I can still remember taking her home from the hospital giving myself a pep talk telling myself that I could do this.  God entrusted me with her and I was going to do my best.  I know at times I have not been my best, but overall I think she's turning out to be one heck of a sweet, fun-loving, conservative, type A little girl.

Easter 2009 (1 month old)

4 year old

  • 32 pounds (25%)
  • controls the room, wanting attention
  • wants approval and recognition (especially from Daddy)
  • loves chocolate milk, hamburgers
  • enjoys playing with little sister
  • great imagination
  • better at swimming
  • learning how to catch/throw, will be a good athlete if she'll learn to listen to instructions
  • still sleeps with bunny
  • doesn't like tags on any piece of clothing
  • very good at riding her scooter
  • favorite movie: Toy Story 3, IceAge
  • starting to play dress up more
  • favorite song: If You Wanna Play In Texas (Alabama)

Before her 4 year checkup I told her that she wouldn't have to have shots, well Mommy was wrong.  Two shots later, she was not very happy with me.

Birthday Party

Addison had a little birthday party for her friend, Preslie from her MDO class.  It's so cute to see how she gets excited to see her friends (especially since she hasn't seen them in a few weeks).  She acted so mature.  She has blossomed so much in a year, and I am so proud of her.

 Ready to go

Memorial Day Weekend

Of course I didn't get any pictures of the girls in their Memorial Day outfits, but here's what I did get (no much).  We relaxed and just hung out and enjoyed the girls.

Our girls could eat ice cream every day.  I think that's the fault of the great grandparents (Nina and PaPa).
They decided they wanted to pretend to take a nap outside one evening.  Their imagination are always going and I love them for that.  It keeps us young.

Hawaii

Kona, Hawaii

A week here makes you want to sell everything you have and move here.  God creation was absolutely beautiful.  Thanks Jordan for all your hard work and marking this off of the bucket list.  Love you!
