William Turns 6

William had his 6th birthday party last weekend, so we went back to New Boston to celebrate.  It's hard to believe he's already six.  Addison had the best time following him around and playing.  She thinks he's so cool, and William is so good with her.

Off To Work

Every 2-3 months Jordan brings the girls up to the dealership to say hello.  The ladies that I work with in the accounting office enjoy seeing the little ones.  Mrs. Virginia had a special moment with Landry this last time they came to visit.

They were watching funny animal videos.

iPhone Dump

She accompanied me to Target with her shorts and boots.  Of course, she had to have her favorite - chocolate shake from Sonic.
It's a rare occasion for them to be sitting so close.
Our little climber

What a look.  She loved the ice cream at Chikfila but was ready to go play.
Thanks Aunt Deb for the sweatshirt.  She actually wore it to bed that night.
Addison's little baby and Landry is willing to be pushed around - in the stroller that is.

The B-I-B-L-E

This sweetie loves to sing.  She sings in the house, car, stores, etc.  Her favorite songs to sing are the ones that she makes up.  It's a rare occasion that she will let me video her singing, so I had to share it.  She's singing The B-I-B-L-E song.  It's hard to understand her sometimes since she's yelling/singing the song.

1st Day School: Fall 2012

The girls started Parents Day Out ("PDO") on September 4th at a new church.  Jordan and I were very excited to get them closer to the house and to a more structured and overall better program.  We liked Garland and Addison still goes once a week there but overall we are happy we made the switch.  I'll post more about what they're up to in PDO in a different post.

Of course our girls don't want to pose at all for pictures these days.  When does that change?

Sorry for the blurriness, but this is the best one that came out

Someone was super excited about getting to go UPSTAIRS for her class.  She literally ran up the stairs as fast as she could.  Oh the little things in life.
I love these girls!  I pray that there hearts will be filled with the love of God and they will learn more about his grace this year.

Meet the Teacher

The girls met their teachers for MDO.  Addison is super excited.  She's definitely one that likes a routine and does best in a structured setting.  She threw a mini fit when we had to get in the car, because she wanted to stay at "school."  So we almost didn't make it to eat ice cream because of the fit, but a few minutes later we were focused on ice cream.

In The Life of Addison

The BIG sister is 3 1/2
She is a hoot and makes us laugh constantly.  If she's not talking, she's singing and dancing.

Starves for attention and affirmation - every kid right?
Loves popsicles, suckers, chocolate
Knows her ABCs, counts to 12 consistently, can spell a few words, and recognize what words start with sometimes
Daddy's girl
Still doesn't like to get her hair washed but will do it
Likes Spiderman
Plays babies all the time
Starting to play more and more with Landry everyday
Rides her tricycle all the time
Really enjoying MDO this year
Knows how to run our iPhones
Wearing 7.5 shoe
Still doesn't eat well, but will eat snacks all day (her Daddy all over)
Loves to learn new things and constantly asking questions (i.e. But why?  Where are we?)
Head strong, but kind heart
Favorite things: fire trucks, ambulances, tractors (as of now I don't think she'll be a girly girl)

Landry: 21 Months

Can't believe she'll be two in 2 1/2 months
Our youngest is growing up so fast.  I feel like every time I turn around she's doing something new and definitely getting into something that she shouldn't.  It's been a while since I've written a mini post about the girls, so Landry's update is first.
Wearing size 24-2T clothing, 6.5 shoe
Loves to swim with her lifejacket on - jumps off the side of the pool like a frog
No fear of anything, except storms
Friendly to everyone she meets
Strong, determined little attitude but very sensitive
Has started pretending to throw fits by slowly throwing her body on the ground and waiting to see if you're looking and then begins crying
Sleeps in her big girl twin bed for naps and nighttime
Very interested in going potty in the big girl potty.  She tells her most of the time that she messed in her diaper and want it off immediately.  She does tell us in advance some times.  I think we'll do potty training during Christmas break.
Enjoys books, coloring, playing with Buddy
Eats everything
Hams it up for the camera when she's not trying to get it out of your hands
Always has a scrape, bruise, scratch on her body
Climber
Sweet as can be

Girls Will Play

The few Fridays nights within the past month the girls and I have had girl time.  We miss Daddy, but the girls will play when Daddy's away.

Jordan is not big on going inside fast food restaurants (i.e. McDonald or Chick-fil-A) to let the girls play, so when he's gone Mommy is determined to get those girls in the play area.  They love it and I enjoy watching them interact with the other kids.  I also think you need to take your kids out to eat so they can learn how to act in a restaurant.  I'm not saying McDonalds is a fancy restaurant, but they get the concept.

Both of them do very well at sitting and eating and waiting to go play until they are done eating.  Once they are in the play area, Landry is climbing and at the very top.  Addison however doesn't go past the second step.  Their personalities are so evident even in the play area.

Bored = Duck Feeding

What do you do when your family is bored?  Go feed the ducks.  We loaded up the girls and went to a local pond with an entire loaf of bread.  I wasn't planing on using the entire loaf, but my husband and the girls had a different idea.  The ducks became their new best friends for the next 10 minutes.  There were literally probably close to 100 ducks.

We had to put the girls on the wall, because the ducks were as tall as they were.  Didn't want one of them to get an eyes poked out by a duck.  How would I ever be able to tell that story?
