Easter Weekend

What a blessing family is.  We went east for Easter and enjoyed the country air and all that family has to offer, which is a lot.  Our little family just loves to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and slow down.  It was great to spend some time with William.  The girls enjoyed every minute with him.

MeeMaw's piece of pie - she loves these kiddos.
 PawPaw's backyard
Grandaddy's favorite pass time for kids - picking up sticks.
Don't you just love the overalls.  It's great because they can get muddy and that's just what overalls are for at the farm.
I love this man!!!  God picked perfectly.

The girls had their princess rods and were off to catch fish for lunch.  Guess how long this lasted?  About 5 minutes and they were bored.
No fish, so we resorted to hot dogs.

I think this sums up the weekend.  Worn out and had a blast doing it.

Sweet & Silly

This girl is always making us laugh and just scratch our head with her words and actions.  We love her to pieces.

Attire to ride the scooter out in the front yard.  Both girls cannot go throughout the day without dressing up.

Windy Weekend

The weekend before Easter was filled with fun and wind.  It was super windy, but we enjoyed the warm weather and getting outside.  I don't think our allergies enjoyed it but we were determined to soak up the sun.

This girl cannot keep her hands off of things that aren't hers, like a permanent marker.  She loves to color on herself.  She told me she was getting pretty for ballet like sister.  This girl….what are we going to do with her…love her.

Kindergarten Roundup

Our first born is starting to prepare for Kindergarten.  We had Kindergarten Roundup at the elementary school last week.  Since the school is in our neighborhood we drive by it often and have been talking it up to her for a while now.  She understands that she's going to be Tibbals Tiger and is so excited.  Addison has always been our reserved child, so I wondered how she would react to change of schools, new friends, culture, etc. but I think she's growing up and will be ready for that first day.

When we went they did a mini evaluation and overall she did a great job.  She counted to 29, wrote her first and last name, recognized all shapes, colors, letters.  She was a little shy but overall, we couldn't be more proud.  We received handouts that explained what she needed to know why the first day of school and we've got a few things that we could hone in on, so we'll be working on those things starting now.

Jordan and I are so proud of her and the little girl she is growing up to be.  She has  a kind heart.  She's definitely a Daddy's girl and has a lot of him in her.  I pray that she will meet some lifelong friends and learn and grow into a sweet, kind, loving, God worshipping young lady.

Spring School Pictures

The girls had their spring pictures at school last week.  As always, one child is in a great mood and ready for the camera and the other, not so much.  Life is good (or at least Addison thought).  I can't wait to see the professional pictures.  This is the last year they will take a picture together.  This momma's heart was definitely weeping.

Cheese…..
This picture looks like Addison is pointing at Landry and making fun of her but she's actually posing.  Not sure which pose, but posing.
And here's our happy child…..

Ballet Friendships

Since I've been able to work from home I have been able to watch Addison grow and develop friendships that are priceless.  Addison takes ballet every Wednesday.  She loves going and most importantly she enjoys her friends.  I, myself am enjoying making new friendships with mommies that stay home and that we can have playmates with throughout the week.

Two weeks ago, Addison had her ballet pictures so we were able to do a run through of costume, makeup, hair, etc. for the recital on June 1.  Let's just say this momma is not known for her hair skills, but with a few secrets from veteran ballet moms we were able to conquer the bun.  Who knew there were so many secrets to making a bun look so tight and perfect.  Then of course there is the makeup.  Daddy was not so thrilled about his one, but I convinced him that it would be okay and we would only be doing it for pictures and recital.

Oh my, how she has grown up.  I feel like just the other day we were wanted her to talk and walk.  Now she's nonstop talking and walking.

What's even better than ballet class with friends?  A tea party/luncheon with your friends after ballet.  It was so cute.  They just giggled and giggled.
