Addison: 1st Day of Kindergarten

The first day of Kindergarten for Addison has come and gone.  The excitement of finally getting to become a Tibbals Tiger and start Kindergarten.  She was pumped all summer long.  We are so glad that she is excited about school and all that it will offer her.

At Meet the Teacher, Ms. Sewell had given the students a poem and included was confetti.  They were to sprinkle the confetti before they went to bed so that they would get a good nights sleep before the first day of school.  Addison thought that was the coolest thing ever, to get to sprinkler something in her bed.  Two weeks before school started we had begun putting the girls to sleep earlier so that they would be used to it.  Luckily Addison went straight to sleep.  Now waking up was a different story.  She's not a morning person but she slowly awoke and realized that Kindergarten was starting.

Too tall and grown up.  My first born has now entered into the world of public school.  I know I am not there to protect every day, but I know that the Lord is watching over her.
Do you think she's excited?  Here she goes.

Addison,

Daddy and I pray that you will grow in your learning of people, books, life, and friendships.  We pray that you will find friendships that you will treasure and keep throughout your childhood.  We pray that the Lord protects you from harm.  We pray that you will bring His light and His word to others while at school so that others may learn about Jesus' love for them.  May you always remember that we are here to support you and strive for you to be the best that you can be.  You are a special young girl that has a heart of gold and a smile that lights up the room.  May you always remember that you are special and that with handwork and determination you can be and do anything you set your mind to.  Set goals, shoot high, and you will achieve your dreams.  We love you more than you will ever know.

"Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity." 1 Timothy 4:12
