Addison: 1st Day of Kindergarten

The first day of Kindergarten for Addison has come and gone.  The excitement of finally getting to become a Tibbals Tiger and start Kindergarten.  She was pumped all summer long.  We are so glad that she is excited about school and all that it will offer her.

At Meet the Teacher, Ms. Sewell had given the students a poem and included was confetti.  They were to sprinkle the confetti before they went to bed so that they would get a good nights sleep before the first day of school.  Addison thought that was the coolest thing ever, to get to sprinkler something in her bed.  Two weeks before school started we had begun putting the girls to sleep earlier so that they would be used to it.  Luckily Addison went straight to sleep.  Now waking up was a different story.  She's not a morning person but she slowly awoke and realized that Kindergarten was starting.

Too tall and grown up.  My first born has now entered into the world of public school.  I know I am not there to protect every day, but I know that the Lord is watching over her.
Do you think she's excited?  Here she goes.

Addison,

Daddy and I pray that you will grow in your learning of people, books, life, and friendships.  We pray that you will find friendships that you will treasure and keep throughout your childhood.  We pray that the Lord protects you from harm.  We pray that you will bring His light and His word to others while at school so that others may learn about Jesus' love for them.  May you always remember that we are here to support you and strive for you to be the best that you can be.  You are a special young girl that has a heart of gold and a smile that lights up the room.  May you always remember that you are special and that with handwork and determination you can be and do anything you set your mind to.  Set goals, shoot high, and you will achieve your dreams.  We love you more than you will ever know.

"Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity." 1 Timothy 4:12

Meet the Teacher: Addison

Meet the Teacher started off with Addison's computer teacher coming by the house and dropping off her Tibbals Tiger Cub sign.  Let's just say she's been wanting one for an entire year.  She was pumped.

You just have to be silly sometimes to get the nervous jitters out.
Poor child, she looks just like me

She grinned from ear to ear and was taking it all in.  You could see her mind just going a hundred miles an hour.  I can only imagine what her heart rate would have been if we took it as we were walking into her classroom.  May her heart be just as full of excitement on the last day of Kindergarten.

Addison has Ms. Sewell as her Kindergarten teacher.  We are feel blessed beyond belief that she has gotten her for a teacher.  She seems like the perfect fit.  My parents are all in because she's an Aggie.

Last Week of Summer

With a week left before Addison started Kindergarten, we soaked up fun and family.

It's hard to get pictures of the girls at the bounce house.

This girl loves her cousin Ethan and is going to be a great mom one day.

New Boston Trip: Pioneer Days 2014

The days are getting closer to my parents home being finished, so we made one last trip to New Boston before the big move.  It will probably be the last trip for the girls before they get to sleep in Granddaddy and MeeMaw's "pretty house."

I love just getting away and spending time with family.  The love that our family has never ceases to amaze me.  What a blessing they are.

Thank you Apple for the invention of the iPad mini.  Jordan and I can have an adult conversation now.

 Love him
Old man - 13 years old and still loves going to the farm
Never thought I'd see the day where my dad would let Buddy sit beside him.  He's getting softer with age, or just more understanding.
 Ready for the parade

I love her new independence but want time to slow down.

The girls have found their Halloween costumes.  Momma knew that Elsa from Frozen would be a big hit for Halloween, so we went ahead and purchased them before they were all sold out.  Elsa wigs are coming soon.
