#1 Dad

I always knew that Jordan was a great dad and would do anything for his girls, but over the Christmas break he has really stepped it up and took one for the team.  Gingy (his mom) had surgery and has not been able to keep the girls for a month.  So we had to come with a backup plan on who was going to keep the girls.  Fortunately, Jordan works for a great company and he had a lot of time that he needed to take or loose and also a lot of time for the Christmas holiday.  I don't know if Jordan thought he was fortunate, but overall we couldn't have asked for a better situation.

Jordan kept the girls for about 2 1/2 weeks in December.  I cannot thank him enough for putting up with two little girls for that long.  They are a handful and keep you very busy.  There were many times when I would come home and he would have dinner cooked, clothes cleaned, etc.  You get the point - HE'S THE BEST!!!  I hope that in later years he will look back and remember the memories that he made with his girls.  They absolutely adore him and so does his wife!!!  God continues to bless our lives with him as my husband and the girls' father.

Dress Up

This is the first time she has played dress up when it wasn't Halloween.  She's definitely not a girlie girl but my family will try and make her girlie.

Please excuse the pajamas that she wore to Target.  Sometimes it's just easier than fighting the battle to get her to change in the early morning.

I found this picture of Landry on my phone during the holidays and just had to post to put in her book.  I think she just looks as cute as a button and I want to squeeze her so tight (prejudice I know).

1 year checkup

Visit from Jack

I am way behind on postings, but I'm going to get caught up this week.  I still have to put Christmas on the blog.  Where does time go?  I tell myself at least it's posted to go in their books, and I'm not going to stress myself out about not getting it done the week that particular event occurs.  There's much more important things - like spending my free time with my family.

Jack, Addison and Landry's 2nd cousin was in town early in December.  Gingy took them over to Nina and Papa's to play and boy did they have a great time.  Addison has talked about Jack for weeks and got to see him again this past weekend (post to come).  Thanks to Aunt Katie we have a few pictures of their play date.

Nina & PaPa

Tomorrow we will be celebrating Papa's 90th Birthday (his birthday is actually January 2).  Family will gather and share all of the great memories that they have of him and wish him many more years of making memories.  I wanted to jot down a few memories that  the girls know of Papa and Nina's.

• Every Wednesday Gingy takes the girls over to their house to eat lunch and stay for the afternoon.
• Girls don't have to take a nap on Wednesday afternoon, unless it's on their way home in the car.
• They always have a cookie jar, chocolate covered raisins and CheezIts
• They cook lunch for the girls
• Addison gets to play the piano and touch the very delicate things that Nina has 
• Addison tells me first thing when I get home from work on Wednesday that she saw Nina and Papa. 
• Addison never says Nina without saying Papa.  The two names have to be said together.

What a blessing it is to know that Addison and Landry will remember their great grandparents.  I am thankful that Alyson takes them over there every week.  It's good for the girls and Nina and Papa.  We love them so much and thank them for loving our girls so much!
