What we do best

Not that great of a picture, but this is what Jordan does best with the girls.  They already both like to hang out with him in the recliner and watch TV or sleep.  What a hard life?  Don't get me wrong, Jordan does so much more for the girls than you can imagine.

Big Girl Bath

Landry has moved on to her big girl bathtub.  We have just been using a sponge pad to give her baths on, but she is too long for that now.  I think she enjoys her big girl bathtub much better.  She can look around and not just stare up at the ceiling.  She's so calm during bath time.  Doesn't she look like she's grown so much here?  No our baby girl anymore.

She loves to look at herself in the mirror

This won't be the last time...

we find the girls in bed with each other.  Gingy shot these pics the other day.  She said Addison just loved it.  Which makes sense, because Addison loves for anyone to join her in her bed.  She would play in her bed all day long if you would let her.  I look forward to seeing this often in the future.  As you can tell from the pictures, Landry is really starting to watch every move that Addison makes.

Landry - "Is it that funny?"

To A Lovely Lady

There are some people in your lives that you'll never to be able to thank enough, and one of those people in our lives is

Mom/Alyson/Gingy

What a lovely person my mother in-law is.  Every morning you come to our house with a smile on your face and arms wide open to pick up one of the girls.  Addison's face lights up when she hears the garage door open.  She looks at me and smiles and says "Gingy."
You do so much for our family, and we are so grateful to have you by our side and watching the girls every day.  Jordan and I both leave for work and know that we don't have to have a worry in the world about our girls.  God could not have picked a better person to love on them.

Where would we be without you?  Don't know and don't want to ever find out.
Thank you for all that you do.  All of the little things that you do that we don't acknowledge - thank you.  You mean the world to us!  We Love You!

- Need a picture!  Get ready, the camera is coming

Girls Love Their Shoes

Spring is upon us, so new shoes are required right?  Every season she grows another 1/2 inch in shoe length.  Here are just one pair that I picked up for her.  They are little Converse with velcro.  We'll see how Addison likes them.  She gets it in her head that she only wants to wear certain pairs of her shoes and will not put on others.  Weird, but knows her style already.

Happy Baby - 3 Months Old

Our little girl is growing so fast.  Today Landry is 3 months old.  I can't believe it.  At night when I'm putting her to bed and slow down from the day I look into her face and my eyes feel with tears.  A feeling comes over me that this is my last "baby."  Landry will be the last baby that I just get that feeling of overwhelming love, because she's your baby.  I don't think I'll get that feeling again until my girls have children and that makes me so sad.

Landry, your daddy and I are so blessed.  You are such a laid-back, loving, sweet baby.  Last night you laughed and laughed hard continuously and it just melted our hearts.  Read below to see what Landry's been up to.

She loves to keep her fists clinched

  • Sleeping through the night (9:00p - 7:30a)
  • Likes to "snack" on her bottle throughout the day
  • Eats 5-7 ounces at night
  • Swaddled at night and sleeps on belly for naps
  • Size 2 diapers
  • Changed to regular Similac formula from Sensitive
  • Still taking Prevacid for reflux
  • Wearing 3-6 month clothes
  • Smiles at familiar voices, follows voices very well
  • Holding her head up on her belly
  • Still hasn't realized she's been shopping multiple times - always asleep, so great shopper
  • Loves to be held instead of hanging out by herself
  • Laughs when Addison laughs
  • Keeps her fists clinched the majority of the time
  • Hair is finally laying down in the back

Gentian Violet

As you know, we've been battling thrush with Landry for a long time now.  We've tried every antibiotic and various amounts of the antibiotics and it never worked.  Aunt Mandy told us that they use gentian violet in the nursery at the hospital she works at, so I called the ped and she said go for it.  I talked the pharmacist at WalMart and she said it was a go, so we went for it.

It was crazy to see the inside of Landry's mouth died purple and her lips purple.  She looked lifeless with blue lips.  I actually spilt the violet in the sink (note: it stains everything) so I yelled to Jordan to get the bleach and the sink came clean but my finger nails still have purple underneath.

It's been 3 days and the thrush looks so much better.  I'm going to keep watching it to make sure we've gotten rid of it.  If not, Aunt Mandy told us to do it every few days.  Let's cross our fingers and hope this baby girl is done with thrush forever.
